‘TRANSPORTATION SUNDAY’ ON SUNDAY, MAY 4TH
9:30 TO 11:00 AM – Sunday Worship followed by Coffee Fellowship
11:00 TO 11:30 AM –Presentation in the chapel by a Madison Metro employee to explain about the bus rapid transit (BRT) service in Madison now as well as future plans for the BRT. He will also be available to help you get a bus pass and show you how to use your phone to plan your route. (NOTE: If you are 65 or older you can ride the bus for just $1.00. Please sign up for a bus pass. $25.00 gets you 25 rides. What a deal!)
11:30 TO NOON – ‘Electric Transportation Showcase’ in the church parking lot. Come and talk to electric vehicle and plug-in hybrid vehicle car owners from our church – people who you know and trust! There will also be an electric bike and an electric scooter for you to view.
‘CHURCH BUILDING SUNDAY’ ON SUNDAY, MAY 11TH
9:30 TO 11:00 AM – Sunday Worship followed by Coffee Fellowship
11:00 TO 11:30 AM – Presentation in the chapel by Dave Mockert on the energy updates done at First United Methodist Church and project opportunities for the future.
11:30 to Noon – Guided tour of the church to see our tankless water heater and other energy updates that have been implemented in the church. These projects would not have happened without the dedicated persistence of the Trustees in pursuing grants and your financial generosity.
