Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.
-John Wesley

A Guide to Proportional Giving
We encourage each household to increase giving 1 percent per year. For a household earning $52,000 per year and contributing about $30 per week, the contribution is about 3 percent of income. This is a portion of what has been given by God to be managed and then is returned to do ministry. A 1 percent increase (from 3% to 4 %) would be about an additional $10 per week.
First Foundation
First Foundation is a wonderful way to make a meaningful and lasting gift to First Church. Find out more about the foundation here. Make a contribution here.
Flower Sponsorship
Flowers for the Sanctuary on Sundays are made possible through sponsorships. You may sponsor a lovely bouquet of flowers by signing up online or visiting the Welcome Center, or by email or calling (608)256-9061. We appreciate your support in making Sunday even more special. Sponsor contributions can be made here.
Special Sundays
Throughout the year, the United Methodist Church undertakes six special giving Sundays, each supporting unique and specific ministries within the life of the global church. These are Human Relations Sunday, Native American Sunday, Peace with Justice Sunday, UMCOR Sunday, UM Student Day, and World Communion Sunday. First Church is proud to join in this legacy of special giving. Contributions to Special Sundays can be made here.
Missional Partners
First Church is committed to an active role in social justice issues that impact our downtown community and the world at large. We have built partnerships with groups who share our passion for helping others and working toward equity and equality for all. You may wish to support one or more of these groups through your service or giving. Contributions to Missional Partners can be made here.
Memorial Gifts
We live in the hope and reality that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ–nothing in life, nothing in death.
Give a gift here, In Memory or In Honor of someone you want to celebrate.
