Adopt-a-School Team, April 26
The Adopt-a-School team will present at the Sharing our Journeys class this Sunday at 11:00 AM. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about our ongoing partnership with this Madison Public Schools Foundation program. First United Methodist Church has collaborated with Hawthorne Elementary for eight years. This Sunday, we are pleased to welcome Principal Lucy Seiber and Community Schools Resource Coordinator Antonio Cruz-Rodriguez, who will discuss the ways in which community schools provide support to families. In partnership with Demco, Inc., First Church works alongside Hawthorne staff to enhance children’s lives through initiatives such as food and winter clothing donations, shoe and boot drives, replacing school appliances, and donating bicycles. There are always exciting future projects and ways to get involved!
